“Pedro, El Escamoso” is one of the most successful stories of Colombian television that captured the hearts of Colombians, and is back this year with its sequel after 23 years. It will feature the performance of several of its characters but not that of Doña Nidia Pacheco.

In this new season, the Caracol channel has decided to continue with the participation of several actors from the original cast. Among them, Álvaro Bayona as Pastor Gaitán, Andrea Guzmán as Yadira Pacheco, Marcela Mar as Mayerli, Sandra Reyes as Dr. Paula and Juan Carlos Arango as Kikin, Pedro’s inseparable friend.
However, one of the great absences in this second season is that of Alina Lozano, who played ‘Doña Nidia Pacheco’. This character, the matriarch of the house where Pedro stayed and mother of Yadira and Mayerli, became an icon for her peculiar way of speaking, acting and dressing.
Many viewers have wondered if Lozano would reprise his role in this new phase of the series.
The actress confirmed this news through her social networks, where her husband, Jim Velásquez, expressed being “calm” with the decision, because the character used to have intimate scenes that could make them uncomfortable.
On several occasions the actress has stated that she was unable to reach an agreement to sign a contract with the production company.
