Paola Salcedo, sister of soccer player Carlos Salcedo, was murdered in the municipality of Huixquilucan, State of Mexico.
Salcedo’s sister was shot after attending a circus performance in the Mexican municipality. She later died in a hospital.
The State Attorney General’s Office of Mexico shared photographs of the two detainees.
Following the crime, the Cruz Azul team, to which his brother Carlos Salcedo belongs, sent a statement on its social networks to send its condolences to the family.
“We regret the death of Paola Salcedo, sister of our player Carlos Salcedo. Our deepest condolences.”
A post by Salcedo’s mother shocked the sports media, as the footballer was charged with what happened.
So far, there is no complaint against him, however, authorities from the State of Mexico reported that the information would be integrated into the investigation file.
This week, Salcedo was called to testify.
