Banesco presents its new option for sending remittances with an international card

Banesco’s BanesConecta portal allows remittances to be sent from anywhere in the world, with the affiliation of an international credit or debit card. Funds are received in bolivars, directly into the bank’s account. This platform can be used by anyone, regardless of their bank of origin.


Banesco Banco Universal presented its new option for sending remittances. It is BanesConecta, a portal developed by the bank that allows the sending of remittances from anywhere in the world, with the affiliation of an international credit or debit card from any financial institution.

«BanesConecta is now an additional remittance sending option for Banesco clients and non-clients. We developed a simple, user-friendly and easy-to-use platform so that people abroad, regardless of the country where they are located, can immediately send remittances to their family, friends or loved ones in Venezuela, which are received in bolivars in their Banesco accounts, automatically,” explained Juan Carlos Fonfría, Executive Vice President of Products, Services and Payment Methods.

The remittance platform operates with the affiliation of an international debit or credit card, regardless of the bank of origin. Access to the platform can be done through Banesco’s websiteon the Internet Banking button, selecting the BanesConecta option.

Fonfría stated that the portal interface is very easy to use and users You can register up to a maximum of three cards. To send the money, all you need is the beneficiary’s ID number and that the bolivar account and the Banesco Green Account are active.

“Only the person who sends the money assumes the commission for the transaction, while the recipient receives all the funds in bolivars, directly in his account,” he added.

How to use BanesConecta

For Banesco clients, access to the portal is done using their BanescOnline credentials. In the case of users or new clients, they must register on the page and follow the instructions.

In the first step, users must register the card that will be used to send remittances, completing all the data. The platform will request a micropayment to authenticate the card information. This is a minimum amount that will be reflected in the transactions in the bank account associated with the card. The Micropayment amount is refunded to you upon completing the affiliation according to the processing times of your bank.

Finally, through the “Send money” option, the user selects the affiliated card, enters the requested information and completes the beneficiary’s data (ID number and amount to be sent) who will receive the remittance immediately in his/her Banesco account, in bolivars. The operation generates a 4% commission only for the issuer of the funds.

“BanesConecta offers a fast, immediate and secure service. The greatest attributes of this transfer platform are security, because it has three data verification steps to guarantee a secure transaction (transfer code at the time of user registration, micropayment to validate the card data and verification of the CVC code at the time of confirming the transfer of funds),” said the executive vice president of Products, Services and Payment Methods of the entity.

“Additionally, it guarantees the immediate reception of the remittance directly into the beneficiary’s bolivar account and lastly it offers one of the most competitive commissions on the market,” said Juan Carlos Fonfría.

BanesConecta can be used from any mobile or desktop device and is compatible with iOS and Android operating systems. The system allows transactions to be made 365 days a year, from anywhere in the world.
