Thirty years ago, the worst terrorist attack in the history of Argentina left a deep wound in the collective memory. On July 18, 1994, at 9:53 a.m., at Pasteur 633, 85 people lost their lives in the attack on the Argentine Israelite Mutual Association (AMIA).
Despite the time that has passed, there is still no one convicted for this massacre. To commemorate this sad anniversary, the AMIA will hold an important event under the slogan “Terrorism continues, impunity too.”
Relatives of the victims, the Jewish community, political figures, cultural figures and the private sector will come together to pay tribute, remember and, above all, demand justice. The event is scheduled to begin promptly at 9:53 a.m., with the sound of the siren.
The speakers will be the president of the AMIAAmos Linetzky, and a group of relatives of the victims. The presenter will be the actress and model Stefi Roitman, born on July 18, 1994, symbolizing the passage of time since that fateful day.
Among the guests expected to be the President of the Nation, Javier Milei, who has oriented Argentina’s foreign policy towards an alignment with the United States and Israel, fully supporting the Jewish community and seeking justice in the AMIA case.
Also present will be the Vice President, Victoria Villarruel, the Secretary General of the Presidency, Karina Milei, and a good part of the national Cabinet.This act is a reminder that terrorism must not go unpunished, and the fight for justice continues.
