Arce asks to approve $331 million in four loans, the avism advanced its refusal

The government of Luis Arce sent the bills of others to the Chamber of Deputies four credits for a global amount of $us 331,420,000. lThe requests have already arrived and must be sent to the commissions in the session that intends to be held in Sucre, Legislative sources revealed.

The evista bench already has a decision, they will not approve any credit if projects 073 and 075 against the extension of magistrates are not put on the agenda.

“Bill No. 377/2023-2024, which approves the loan contract for the construction project of the Uyuni-Hito IX highway, sections 1 to 3, signed on March 20, 2024, between the Plurinational State of Bolivia and the Andean Development Corporation – CAFfor an amount of up to $us 223,420,000,” points out point 22 of the weekly agenda published by the Chamber of Deputies.

There are three other loans: one also with the CAF for $us 35 million for the Norte Integrated-Yapacaní road project. Two loans signed with the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), one for $us 43 million for the urban integration, energy efficiency and urban mobility program of Sucre and the fourth for $us 30 million for a supposed linear park urban integration program for La Paz and El Alto, in both cases the opponents believe that it is freely available.

However, the Chamber of Deputies can’t install a session since January because the opponents and the Evista bench demand that Bills 073 and 075 be placed on the agenda, paralyzing the self-extension ordered by the magistrates of Sucre. The president of this legislative body, Israel Huaytari, has already made it clear that he will not put these two projects on the agenda and for that reason the Chamber is paralyzed.

Israel Huaytari called a meeting at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a 4-point agenda referring to moving the sessions to Sucre for its anniversary and a couple of declarations; but the evistas reminded him again that they will not install any session until the projects that resist arcism are included.

On Saturday, the expanded evista in Cochabamba prohibited the bench of deputies and senators from continuing to approve more credits requested by the Arce Government; but this Monday, leader Evo Morales came out to apologize to his base and said that the credits be approved as long as the Government reports how $3.5 billion was spent that have already been delivered by international organizations.
