The Vuelta de la Juventud is a true showcase for cyclists and this year 2024 it continues to have a luxury sponsor such as Caja de Ahorros, which commemorates 90 years of being at the side of the Panamanian family.
Today, Thursday, the Technical Congress will be taking place (5:00 in the afternoon) and later the Presentation of the teams that will perform, all in the facilities of the Kenny Serracín stadium, in the city of David, with the province of Chiriquí once again being the stage. of this important pedal competence.
The categories that will have action in this three-day race are, the Pre-infant, the Infant, the Pre-juvenile, the Juvenile, the U-23 and the Ladies, which will have a special open category, so there will be a platoon of more than 100 participants.
Tomorrow, Friday, the first stage of this Vuelta de la Juventud will be run, it will be a race against the clock that will start at 8:00 in the morning from the El Guabal Educational Center and will end in La Piedra for children and pre-children, with a distance of 7.7 kilometers.
For their part, the pre-juveniles, youth, U-23 and Ladies will do 17.3 kilometers between the Cabuya School and La Piedra, a route that will begin at 9:00 in the morning.
On Saturday, May 18, the second stage of this Vuelta de la Juventud Caja de Ahorros, will present an online day for Infant and Pre-infant with 11 kilometers, starting at the San Pablo field and ending at the entrance of Guacá.
The pre-juveniles, youth, U-23 and Ladies, on this second day, will travel 64 kilometers between the San Pablo field, Los Anastacios, Potrerillos, to finish in Cordillera, a route that features mountains and that will test the legs of the protagonists.
On Sunday the 19th, the last day will be for passers and auctioneers, with the town of San Pablo Nuevo as the setting.
This Sunday task includes a departure at 7:00 am for the Youth and Under-23 teams who will absorb a closed circuit planned for four turns and 36 kilometers. Then the pre-juniors and the juniors will start, who will also have four laps ahead of them for 36 kilometers.
Meanwhile, the Pre-infant and Infant categories are registered for two ring roads and a total of 22 kilometers, departing at 9:00 in the morning.
