Some leaked photos from the filming set of the fourth season of The Witcher have revealed a first look at the Geralt of Rivia interpreted by Liam Hemsworth, who replaces Henry Cavill in the role after three seasons. This was reported by IGN Spain.
As reported by Metro, which offers the photos, a handful of leaked images show Hemsworth in full Witcher gear, white wig and all.. Curiously, the photos show the recreation of a scene from the third season in which, spoilers, Geralt fights Vilgefortz on a beach.
It’s likely for flashback reasons, as it would perhaps be strange for Netflix to return to scenes of Cavill’s Geralt while Hemsworth is in the role. Therefore, it is possible that Netflix may also have to reshoot older scenes of the three seasons of The Witcher.
Netflix announced in November 2022 that The Witcher would continue without its protagonist, since Cavill left after three seasons. The actor has not given an explicit reason for his departure, although in November 2021 he said that I was absolutely committed with a seven-season run of The Witcher “as long as we can continue to tell great stories that honor Sapkowski’s work.”
