Dictatorship Ortega-Murillo expresses “from the heart” to the Taliban in Afghanistan his desire to strengthen ties of friendship

Dictatorship Ortega-Murillo expresses "from the heart" to the Taliban in Afghanistan his desire to strengthen ties of friendship

The vice dictator of Nicaragua explained, during her daily speech on Tuesday, May 14, through her propaganda media, that her regime wishes “from the heart” to strengthen ties of friendship and maintain fraternal communication” with the Taliban of Afghanistan, a fundamentalist political-military and religious movement, considered one of the most radical in its region.

The dictatorship of Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo, isolated from the international community, mainly Western democratic countries, has undertaken a diplomatic strategy that seeks to establish relations with distant countries in Africa and Asia, especially those governed by totalitarian regimes.

Along these lines, Ortega has strengthened diplomatic relations with autocratic governments such as Iran, North Korea, Burkina Faso, among others.

And, although Nicaragua does not have an accredited ambassador in Afghanistan, the dictatorship has always flirted with that fundamentalist regime, considered “de facto”, and accused of being one of the greatest violators of human rights, especially against women and girls.

Afghanistan, located in the Middle East, is de facto governed by the extremist Taliban guerrilla group, accused of cruel violations of the rights of women and children, including the prohibition of studying beyond primary school, the prohibition of working outside from home, as well as exclusion from public life and total submission to the authority of men. Any violation of these Taliban mandates is punished with public whippings, mutilations and even the death of women.

In recent days, the country has suffered severe flooding that has claimed the lives of more than 350 people and injured another 1,600. In this context of disaster, the Ortega-Murillo dictatorship sent a message of “solidarity” to the Taliban “supreme leader”, whom he calls “brother”, Hibatullah Akhundzada, and they express their desire to maintain “fraternal communication.”

«Dear Brother: As a human family, we have been shocked by the tragic floods that affect our brothers in Afghanistan, and we want to express, with all our Heart, our solidarity, condolences and prayers, for the people who have left their lives in these times of disaster », says the message from Ortega and Murillo.

Furthermore, the dictators express to the Taliban’s top leader their firm desire to “maintain fraternal communication between our people and governments.”

Likewise, since they do not have an embassy in that Islamic country, they inform you that they are sending the statement through the ambassador to Iran, Ramón Moncada.

This is not the first time that the Ortega-Mutillos have sent a message in similar terms to the fundamentalist Taliban leader. On August 18 of last year, on the occasion of commemorating the anniversary of Afghan independence, the Nicaraguan dictators sent him a message in similar terms.

«On the special occasion of commemorating an anniversary of national independence day, this coming August 19, we express in the most fraternal way, on behalf of the people and government of reconciliation and national unity of the Republic of Nicaragua, and in our own name, our warmest congratulations to you and the brother people of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan,” the tyrants said on that occasion.

At that time they also reiterated “the commitment to continue strengthening the ties of friendship, solidarity and cooperation.”
