A total of 9,924 appointments, through the technological tool Telegram, were processed by the Social Security Fund between April 8 and May 1.
A report from the National Department of Medical Records and Statistics (Reges) highlights that 7,210 were granted and 704 were waiting for assignment.
Of the total appointments granted by Telegram for General Medicine and Dentistry, 2,010 were canceled by users.
This tool is implemented, in the first instance, in the “Don Alejandro De La Guardia, Hijo” polyclinics, in Betania; “Dr. Carlos N. Brin”, of San Francisco; “Generoso Guardia”, in Santa Librada; “José Joaquín Vallarino Z.”, in Juan Díaz; “Manuel Ferrer Valdés”, in Calidonia, and “Manuel María Valdés”, in San Miguelito.
The majority of appointments processed were in Dentistry, with 7,496, and 2,428 in General Medicine.
Telegram appointments will soon be extended to other units in the capital city and the interior of the country to speed up the granting of quotas.
