Minsa receives transfer of $47 million to comply with payments to health professionals

A party transfer for $47 million was approved this Wednesday by the Budget Commission of the National Assembly, an amount that will be used to pay overtime to health professionals for the months of November and December.

It was up to the Vice Minister of Health in charge, José Baruco, to support the budget transfer of the National Assembly before the budget commission, and he explained that this item will cover the payments that arrived late at the central headquarters, for which it could not comply with payment as established by law, that once the pertinent processes have been carried out, the respective disbursements will also be made.

It should be noted that the payment corresponding to the month of January will enter the budget item for this year 2022.

Regarding the supply of supplies, Dr. Yelkis Gill, Director of Service Provision, added that the items for “we have always supplied our regions, we are at the beginning of the year and as usually happens, there can be a momentary shortage, which is It will be corrected as the warehouses are supplied.

When questioned about the cases of leishmaniasis, Gill highlighted “it is an issue that has always existed and the cases are addressed in a comprehensive manner, the important thing in the Minsa is the health of the citizens”, with respect to the alleged complaints from a group of women in the Ngäbe Buglé region, Gill pointed out that all surgical care by the Minsa requires an intervention explained about the process, so that, as in this case, existing doubts can be resolved and if there are any complaints, the questions will be resolved. before the relevant authorities.
