The National Consumer Service (SERNAC) issued an alert last Thursday, May 9, about the counterfeiting of a well-known brand of coffee, endangering the health of consumers. Through an official statement, the national director, Andrés Herrera, announced that they will file a complaint with the Prosecutor’s Office due to this worrying situation.
The brand affected by counterfeiting is Nescafé, specifically in its refills. coffee instant, directly impacting retailers and consumers. The counterfeit product is being marketed in different areas of Santiago, in free fairs, retail establishments and mini markets, and even in some regions of the country.
Andrés Herrera warned that the counterfeit product of coffee It does not correspond to an authentic product of the recognized brand and highlighted that its consumption may represent a risk to the health of consumers.
