This Monday the governor of Pando, Regis Richter Alencar and the vice-governor of the Brazilian State of Acre, Mailza Assis, arrived in Santa Cruz to participate in the GCF Taks Force, which begins this Tuesday at the Los Tajibos hotel.
Jhonny Rojas, director of Risk Management of the Santa Cruz Government, highlighted the security deployment that It is being used for the peace of mind of the authorities and delegations that will participate in this important event.
“On instructions from our acting governor, Mario Aguilera, we have come to receive the delegation from Pando and Acre who have just arrived with all their equipment for the great meeting of governors for climate change and for the protection of our forests”said Rojas, while highlighting that this international event is the largest that the department has and focuses the attention of other countries in Santa Cruz.
For his part, the governor of Pando, Regis Richter Alencar, highlighted the importance of the event and thanked Santa Cruz for the work done to carry out the GCF Task Force.
“We are happy to be here and to carry out this important event where we hope to have good results as Bolivians and as Governments. We thank the governor and his entire team for their work and reception,” he said.
Richter andIt is hoped that the GCF will result in financing to preserve the Amazon, forests and biodiversity of the country.
It should be noted that the GCF Task Force will have the presence of governors and other authorities from different countries around the world, who will address issues of climate change, forests, water, and the care of flora and fauna.
