In recent weeks, the province of Salta made the decision to tariff the health for all foreign citizens who receive care in public hospitals. However, it would not be the only province since Río Gallegos will join and in relation to this, the Minister of Health of the Patagonian region, Ariel Varela stated: “The economic situation that the health system is going through is unsustainable and that is why we took this decision”.
In this way, once the corresponding procedures are carried out, the health public for foreigners will be tariffed and they will be charged 50% more than the hospital nomenclature. However, he assured that only those who visit the province of Santa Cruz will be charged for health care and not those who already reside there.
