Capufe announces a 7.3% increase in highway rates due to inflationary effects

As of this Wednesday, February 16, toll rates on highways increased by an average of 7.36%, it was announced Federal Roads and Bridges (hood).

In the case of Mexico-Acapulco highwayCapufe explained that it agreed to an additional increase within the 10% limit, after the increase in fees in that section was postponed.

In the Cuernavaca-Acapulco highway A rate of 596 pesos will be applied for the circulation of cars, which means an increase of more than 13%, compared to the current toll in 2021. Meanwhile, motorcycles must pay 297 pesos.

In a statement it was stated that the National Bank of Public Works and Services (Banobras), through the National Infrastructure Fund (Fonadin), instructed Capufe to carry out the price adjustment.

Capufe explained that the increase due to inflationary effects registered in December 2020 and 2021.

The increase in fees went into effect early this Wednesday February 16th.

The agency explained that the resources collected from the tolls of the highways integrated into the concession network will be used to cover the operating and maintenance costs of this infrastructure.
