“My innocence and my transparency are not under discussion,” were the only words pronounced this Tuesday by Cecilio Antonio Rodríguez, the dismissed director of the National Institute of Student Welfare (unabie) who was questioned at the Office of the Special Prosecutor for the Prosecution of Administrative Corruption (Pepca).
Rodríguez has been questioned for the third time for alleged irregularities committed in that institution.
The former official was accompanied by two of his legal representatives and was interviewed for almost three hours by Wilson Camacho, head of the Pepcaand Deputy Attorney General Yeni Berenice Reynoso, Director of Prosecution of the Public Ministry.
Rodríguez must appear for the fourth time at the headquarters of the Public Ministry, located in the Center of the Heroes; however, the date was not offered.

The ex-owner of unabie it was canceled in November of last year through a decree by President Luis Abinader. An investigation of Free Journal revealed that contracts had been irregularly awarded to 1,260 suppliers who did not comply with the specifications to supply school lunch in public educational centers.
