The Departmental Board of Montevideo resolved this Monday to request the Montevideo City Hall to negotiate with the Ministry of Economy the extension to the Inter-American Development Bank for the definitive subscription of the loan for cleaning and sanitation.
Less than a week before the expiration of the time granted to vote on it, the political parties held several negotiations for more than 70 days, which culminated in an agreement this Monday afternoon.
The text indicates that this loan, called the Sixth Stage Montevideo Urban Sanitation Program, request an extension of up to 70 days to continue a technical-political working tablerecently installed and integrated by the departmental executive and legislature, representative of the parties within the Departmental Board and the Ministry of Environment.
