In Peru, exports registered between January and November 2021 exceeded US$ 50,402 million and one of the fastest growing sectors and with a new record is agriculture with an advance of 18.2%, according to the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (Mincetur).
In this context, the import of tractors and/or agricultural machinery has also increased by about 40% compared to 2020, since the different brands destined for their commercialization have had more turnover and imported around 1,636 units, according to data Data Trade import.
“The pandemic has made it possible to sensitize certain industries to a great extent by understanding that agriculture is an essential activity, leading to a lot of investment in the sector being activated”, explains José Mauricio Pascual, manager of New Holland at MASA Equipos Industriales.

The importance of the acquisition lies in the benefits that these can bring to your productivity or ease to overcome the obstacles of the land. The same ones that the various brands have been implementing in their models as a sign of evolution over time.
Another important point is the dimensioning of the tractors, since in agro-export it is necessary that the tractors have reduced dimensions both in width (blueberries) and height (vine).
New Holland Agriculture in Peru, represented by MASA Equipos Industriales, currently ranks fourth in imports of agricultural tractors. In 2022 it estimates to grow 3 percentage points of ‘market share’.
