Uruguay registered this Monday 5,073 new cases of coronavirus on a total of 13,411 tests, reported the National Emergency System (Sinae).
What’s more, there were 22 deaths in the last 24 hours of patients with covid-19, who were between 48 and 105 years old. Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, there have been 6,778 deaths diagnosed with the disease in Uruguay.
There are 49,300 active cases across the country and 167 people are in intensive care centers, according to the official report. Of the total positive cases, 706 correspond to the health personnel.
Of the 5,073 new cases, 2,476 are from Montevideo, 892 from Canelones, 247 from Florida, 194 from San José, 144 from Maldonado, 114 from Colonia, 105 from Salto, 101 from Paysandú, 101 from Rocha, 93 from Soriano, 90 from Río Negro, 86 from Cerro Largo, 77 from Flores, 70 from Lavalleja, 69 from Rivera, 68 from Tacuarembo, 61 from Artigas, 44 from Durazno and 41 from Treinta y Tres.
All departments report infected people this Monday, and Montevideo leads in number of assets with 23,798. follow him cannelloni (7,522), Maldonado (1993), Cologne (1,736) and Saint Joseph (1,716).
