Restaurants will have a demand greater than 50% of their sales during February 14 of this year, Day of Valentine’s Daydue to the lifting of the curfew and the reduction of infections by the variant of the COVID-19estimated the Association of Hotels, Restaurants and Related (Now Peru).
“There are restaurants that will manage to recover a little and reach 30% of their sales and others may exceed 50%. This will also depend on the capacity of capacity so that couples can spend happy moments with the security measures of the case, due to the distance that must exist between the tables”, commented Blanca Chávez, president of Now Peru.
As for the hotels in Lima that are part of the guild, with a category of three and four stars, reservations are around 40%.
“Couples always wait for the last minute to make their reservations”, added the union leader.
“February 14 is a good opportunity to forget about problems and spend good times with lovers, spouses and friends. Formal hotels and restaurants are going to welcome you with open arms”, he pointed.
According to the executive, Valentine’s Day is one of the busiest dates for restaurants and hotels after Mother’s Day.
