The mayor of San Pedro Tapanatepec suffers an attack in Oaxaca

Security authorities reported that elements of the National Guard transferred him to the Macedonio Benítez hospital, in Juchitán de Zaragoza. His health condition so far is serious.

The region of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec has been involved in a wave of violence. Last Thursday, the journalist Heber López was assassinated in his offices in Salina Cruz.

According to Etellekt Consultores, 15 mayors have died in the country so far in the current administration, which includes the crime of Enrique Velásquez Orozco, mayor of Contepec, Michoacán.

The entity with the most cases is Oaxaca, followed by Veracruz, Michoacán, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Coahuila, State of Mexico, Guerrero, Chihuahua and Morelos; of the victims, five belonged to the PRD; four to Morena; three to Movimiento Ciudadano; two to the PRI and one to the system of uses and customs.
