Next Wednesday, February 16, the preliminary hearing of the case involving the Brazilian citizen Isaura Sanches Freitas for alleged acts of international drug trafficking should be held.
The case became public, after the Prosecutor’s Office, represented by the fiscal agents; Ysaac Ferreira, Fabiola Molas Alcaraz, Eduardo Royg and Deny Yoon Pak, will present as evidence, “wiretaps” obtained illegally by the Brazilian Federal Police.

Isaura Sanches Freitas is being accused of the punishable act of criminal association and money laundering in the operation “Status” case initiated in Brazil in 2018 and in Paraguay in 2020.

Edgar Arias, defense attorney, affirmed that Sanches had resigned before the start of Factor SA’s activities.
“The Public Ministry acts in its investigations with total freedom, without the Judicial Power putting brakes on the atrocities committed by them in their investigations,” he questioned.
The lawyer criticizes that only due to the fact that his client has been appointed as a substitute syndicate of Factor SA, according to the theory of the Public Ministry, she is part of organized crime, but in the case there is no judicial sentence from both Brazil and Paraguay. who have sentenced the Morínigo family for international drug trafficking, much less the owners or shareholders of the company Factor SA
“Therefore, because he is my client, a substitute syndicate, he is a member of organized crime, but the shareholders or owners of the company are not. I no longer know where to turn, if it is to human rights defenders or to politicians because the law is not followed in our country,” he lamented.

Arias points out that in the accusation the representatives of the Public Ministry presented “screenshots”, obtained from a “prick” of the WhatsApp application, and that they were obtained irregularly and illegally by the Federal Police of neighboring Brazil.
“These agents entered our territory as if it were their own to intercept telephones of Paraguayan operators without the accompaniment of any Paraguayan authority, and these screenshots were offered by our Public Ministry as evidence against my client,” he said.
One of those screenshots read the following message; “…love pays the ANDE bill for the site…”. It was a message from Isaura Sanches to Robson Alcaraz Ajala at the time.
“Through this message, the Public Ministry affirms that she is part of organized crime, knowing that article 33 of the Procedural Code clearly states: individual punishment. Each participant in the act will be punished according to his blameworthiness, regardless of the blameworthiness of the others”, he questioned.
