Fernando Pereira, president of the Broad Front, says he is willing to debate with the President of the Republic, Luis Lacalle Pou, and with his Presidential Secretary Álvaro Delgado, about the 135 articles to be repealed in the Law of Urgent Consideration (LUC), at time that confirmed that the Commission for the “Yes” will make the formal request to access a national radio and television network.
The Frente Amplio leader considers that “the chain continues to be a useful organism to transmit to society what an organization or a civic proposal intends.” He recalled that “the president (Lacalle Pou) at the time stated that it was an old body, that it was of no use to anyone” and considers that “he must have changed his mind.”
“In the same way that we are willing to participate in a debate with Lacalle Pou or with Delgado, because they are the authors of the law,” said Pereira.
