The Minister of Housing, Jonathan Malagon, would be thinking of leaving the position and his job in the National government.

According to the newspaper EL TIEMPO, in its ‘Secret’ section, Malagón plans to resign next month March.

Malagón, 37, is an economist and business administrator. He has two master’s degrees, one in Public Administration and one in Corporate Finance, as well as a PhD in Economics.
In 2018, at the age of 33, he was appointed by President Iván Duque as Minister of Housing, City and Territory.

In the portfolio, he has led different programs, such as 200,000 housing subsidies for post-Covid economic recovery, in addition to receiving, from the Ministry of Housing, the Scroll of Honour, highest recognition from the United Nations for the design of housing policy in the world.
Malagón has been described as a key official in what has to do with the economic revival in the country.
