The Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) recommended that the student and teaching population of the universities that returned to face-to-face classes redouble the sanitary measures against covid-19, such as the correct use of face masks, healthy distance, frequent hand hygiene and not greet with a kiss or hug, in addition to not touching eyes, nose or mouth, and avoid crowds, parties or gatherings. He added that for school activities with several people, technologies should be chosen for meetings and group tasks. For his part, the general director of the IMSS, Zoé Robledo, invited the educational authorities to continue working together to break the chains of contagion. In a video message on social media, he urged young people to return to campus, acknowledging that reconnecting with their peers is also important for social-emotional health.
