“As you know, there is a whole plan to carry out a coup d’état, vacating the President of the Republic, making constitutional accusations or pressuring him to resign,” the prime minister told the press after meeting tonight with his cabinet.

Torres indicated that a sector of Congress is dedicated to politically destabilizing the country and called on opposition parliamentarians not to generate more instability. In addition, he requested that the legislative initiatives presented by the Executive be addressed.
“We ask the entire Congress, or that part (the opposition), to desist from this situation and that we begin to work for the benefit of the country. That, at least, they attend to the bills that we have presented and that they stop continuing to create political instability”, he maintained.
Finally, he specified that on Monday, February 14, the PCM will hold a press conference at 1 in the afternoon to give a response from the Executive on the latest events, since, he pointed out, “an intolerable situation is arising that does not allow us to to work”.
The prime minister called his cabinet this Saturday, February 12, in a meeting that lasted until around 10 p.m. Although no further details of the meeting were provided, the ministers of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Transportation, Health, among others, were seen at the scene.
