Cienciano achieved a categorical victory against Deportivo Municipal, 4-2, in what constitutes the emotional reunion of the imperial team with its fans, after two long years of waiting due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This victory corresponding to the second date of the Opening Tournament of League 1, leaves those led by Gerardo Ameli in second position in the table with four points, the product of a draw on the road and a local victory.
Already in the process of the party, Cienciano soon became the owner of the actions and generated danger in the goal defended by Melián, but it was Adrián Ugarriza who was in charge of overcoming the resistance of the Uruguayan goalkeeper, with a real goal from a half scissors, at 26 minutes, to score the first.
