In order to contribute to the increase in the consumption of seafood throughout the country, the National Program “to eat fish” (PNACP) of the Ministry of Production promoted so far this year more than 200 tons of hydrobiological products from the work of artisanal fishermen.
After participating via zoom in the launch of “Mi Pescadería” in the Apurímac region, the Vice Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, Mario Jesús Cavero Polo, highlighted the performance, to date, of 442 activities to promote hydrobiological products that allow to encourage consumption fish and promote healthy eating.
The activity, carried out in the Plaza de Armas of the province of Abancay, allowed the population to acquire two tons of fresh bonito at promotional prices, high-quality Peruvian preserves and to participate in various demonstrations with the preparation of regional dishes based on fish. .

”Our commitment is to redouble our efforts and intensify the activities “Mi Pescadería”. We will work jointly with local authorities and organizations to increase the consumption of hydrobiological products in the most vulnerable areas of our country,” said the deputy minister.
He added that this Friday the 10th and Saturday the 11th of this month promotional activities will be carried out in the provinces of Tarma and Huancayo in the Junín region, where more than 8 tons of marine products of high nutritional value will be placed.
Balance of 2021
In 2021, the PNACP has carried out 5,823 activities to promote hydrobiological products, promoting 1,619,737 cans of canned fish and 2,122 tons of hydrobiological products.
“With these initiatives during the year 2021, the PNACP benefited more than 1,563,183 families and contributed to the economic reactivation of artisanal fishermen, aquaculture producers and MYPEs with an economic injection of more than S / 19 million”, concluded the vice minister .
