Last January, on the first vaccination day, the team of nurses from the Social Security Fund inoculated more than 6,000 children in seven days.
On the second day of pediatric vaccination against COVID-19, which took place in the Omar Recreational and Cultural Park, from Tuesday, February 8 to Saturday, February 12, 2,471 doses were applied to boys and girls from 5 to 11 years old with and without disability and chronic diseases.
Of the 2,471 vaccines applied, 1,900 correspond to first doses and 1,381 to second doses. While 53 children with disabilities and 83 with chronic diseases were inoculated.
“I am excited to know that the vaccination point in Parque Omar has been the one that has inoculated the most children, we invite parents to continue taking their children to the other authorized centers,” said the First Lady of the Republic, Yazmín of Cortizo.
For children with disabilities, an exclusive space was adapted for their vaccination. An ambulance was kept at the scene to attend to any emergency, as well as medical personnel.
