COVID-19: Mexico reaches 5 million 283,852 total infections

As for the number of people who died from this disease, the figure rose to 312,697 after registering another 579.

Mexico is just a few days away from two years since the first case of COVID-19 was registered in the country, which occurred on February 28, 2020.

Currently, the country is in its fourth wave of infections, although federal authorities assure that this is already in the declining stage.

This was stated last Tuesday by the Undersecretary for Prevention and Health Promotion, Hugo López-Gatell, while this Friday the authorities of Mexico City, the entity with the most cases and deaths, affirmed this Friday that there is a decrease in the hospitalizations and positive tests.
