Deputy Minister of the Interior establishes plan against insecurity in Arequipa

Vice Minister of the Interior Óscar Gonzáles met today with the main police officers of Arequipa and some authorities to establish a plan to combat the insecurity that exists in the region.

At the work table held in the auditorium of the Yanahuara police station, Gonzáles took note of the main claims, such as the increase in organized crime, prostitution and robbery.

The deputy minister announced the reinforcement of investigative police to find out the whereabouts of the criminal gangs, apparently made up of foreigners, which cause concern among the population. He pointed out that in the next few days a group from Immigration will arrive in the city to help with the control of foreigners who entered illegally.

Also present were PNP General Miguel Cayetano Cuadros, commanders and division heads, as well as representatives of municipalities.
