Karina Oliva assures that she resigned from Comunes after being informed that she was expelled from the party along with six other militants

Through a public statement, Karina Oliva categorically denied that there is a final decision of the Supreme Court of the Comunes Party that has ordered her expulsion, and affirmed that the National Directorate itself recognizes that it has not been notified of any sentence.

“We regret and condemn the utilitarian, crafty and cunning leak to the media that once again is made of the procedural stages before that body, with dark objectives associated with a crude political operation that seeks to damage a popular project and the elected government,” he said. the former candidate for governor and senator for the Metropolitan Region.

According to Karina Oliva, within 48 hours they will exercise before that Court “an energetic reconsideration of the response to the resolution that was leaked to the media.”

In any case, the political scientist maintained that “public opinion should know that before this malicious leak I had resigned from the party, so that body lacks jurisdiction over me, considering also that since the beginning of the procedure they have violated deliberately systematic due process guarantees, but we will still make all the claims”.

It had previously been reported through the press that Karina Oliva had been “officially expelled” from the Partido Comunes, as part of the investigation against her for the millionaire expenses of her campaign.

Let us remember that the Electoral Service (Servel) denounced Karina Oliva, also a former candidate for governor for the Metropolitan Region, before the Prosecutor for possible electoral crimes.

As stated meterOliva was expelled from her collective along with six other militants: Jorge Ramírez, Martín Miranda, Camila Ríos, José Robledo, Jean Flores, and Luis Romero.

Despite the subsequent clarification, the Supreme Court of Commons stated in a statement that Oliva “knew and consented that in her campaign the practices described in the recital were incurred, due to her position as a candidate, party representative and ultimately responsible for her campaign, having prevented these from being consummated”.

“The present sentence has been adopted unanimously by the members of the Supreme Court in full, with the presence of Amaranta Tapia, Juan Mena, Orlando Wong and Tania Parada,” the statement added.
