Don Carlos received solidarity from Colombians after a video went viral where a councilman induced him to fall into a police checkpoint when he performed an ‘Indriver’ service for him.

Through the Vaki collection platform, millions of people contributed their grain of sand to change the life of this 68-year-old Manizalita, a man who for a couple of months has been dedicated to the ‘car rental with driver’ service, as a way to generate income in the absence of employment.

In total, 64 million pesos were collected, money that translated into 60 million after some discounts and taxes.

The promoters of this collection arrived at the house of Don Carlos, a content generator who calls himself «Morcillomotorsports», who, in the company of other people, made the official delivery of the money to the older adult.

Don Carlos thanked all Colombians for this gesture and those who have reached out to him after what happened with the immobilization of his car, even from abroad.

After the delivery of the money, Don Carlos’s companions took him to a financial entity to open an account and deposit all the money there, to prevent him from having all that cash at home.

It should be remembered that the case of Don Carlos generated national outrage due to the way in which a lobbyist from the Caldense capital scammed him into immobilizing his vehicle for providing “an Indriver service.”

The driver asked the passenger (the councilman) to help him in case the police officers at the checkpoint asked him if he was doing this service.

However, the councilman “threw him into the water” and Don Carlos immobilized his car and imposed a subpoena on him.

After the criticism he received on social networks, the councilor spoke out and apologized for what happened, although he maintained his position that these types of services “are illegal.”

However, drivers allege that they offer a car rental service with a driver and that this is permitted by law.
