Caracas celebrates its 456th anniversary with a cycling tour

Caracas celebra aniversario 456 con vuelta ciclística

A total of 380 runners gathered on Bolívar avenue in Caracas to participate in the Cycling Cup 456th anniversary of Caracas, sponsored by the Mayor of Caracas, the Government of the Capital District, Team Espartanos and organized in conjunction with the Venezuelan Cycling Federation.

The activity was attended by the mayoress of Caracas, A/J Carmen Meléndez, who highlighted the participation of competitors in various categories to relaunch the takeover of Bolívar Avenue on Sundays and turn it into a meeting for healthy recreation and sports activity aimed at all ages.

“This Sunday began with the 456th anniversary Cycling Cup of Caracas, on Avenida Bolívar. An event organized in coordination with the Venezuelan Cycling Federation and which contemplated different categories”, indicated the admiral through social networks.

In addition, he maintained that in Caracas cycling is strengthened with this activity, in a cycle that included the arrival at Plaza Venezuela and the return to Bolívar Avenue, for an approximate distance of 5 km.

“At the national level, cycling is one of the sports that is activated throughout Venezuela and here in Caracas, we have opened since last year, where a circuit of the ladies who participated in the return to venezuela. Also, we are going to strengthen cycling in Caracas every year, ”he stressed.
