congressman Guido Bellido (Free Peru) was confident that the National Parliament will give the vote of confidence to the Ministerial Cabinet headed by Aníbal Torres.
Speaking to journalists, he indicated that it is important that all the benches see the deployment of the ministers and from this they generate an opinion and take a position.
“We cannot, at such a complicated moment for the country, take divergent positions. We believe that this cabinet has to work because it also expresses an important consensus of the different sectors. I believe that the congressmen are also going to take that position.he expressed.
Regarding the position to be adopted by the bench of Free Peru, Bellido Ugarte He indicated that there has not yet been a formal meeting, but he trusts that all of its members will vote in favor of confidence.
“There has not yet been a formal meeting of the caucus, but neither have I seen positions or discrepancies among the congressmen with the current cabinet. I think that 100% will say yes to the current cabinet”he underlined.
It should be noted that in view of the evaluation of the Council of Ministers headed by Hannibal Torresthere is a negative mood among legislators from the Alliance for Progress (APP), Popular Action (APP) and others located on a similar political spectrum.
Cesar Acuna Peraltaleader of APP, indicated yesterday in Exitosa Noticias that it would be “irresponsible” on the part of his caucus to give the vote of confidence to a Cabinet that is going to disappoint them.
The alternate spokeswoman for AP, Karol Paredes, told the newspaper El Comercio that her caucus has not yet discussed the matter, but said in a personal capacity that she expected a more conciliatory prime minister who dialogues with Parliament and the citizenry.
“The mood is very concerned about what is happening. We are also doubting whether or not this administration loves the country”he stated.
Meanwhile, the three ungrouped legislators and members of the Purple Party announced that they will not grant the vote of confidence to the new Council of Ministers.
