120 days of preventive detention was the ruling issued by a judge against the man who stabbed his ex-partner in front of their minor children, a fact recorded in the Plan Tres Mil area, in the capital of Santa Cruz.
The prosecutor assigned to the case, Jéssica Chávez, indicated that the precautionary hearing took place this Sunday, July 23, and the judge ordered the extreme measure preventive detention for the aggressor, after assessing the evidence collected by the Public Ministry.
He pointed out that family and domestic violence led a woman to be hospitalized and with 12 days of impediment after being evaluated by doctors. Her victim suffered injuries to the abdomen and hands, and was also beaten by the attacker.
“The victim is still resting, but after the detention for 120 days in the Palmasola prison, the investigative acts will continue to develop,” he explained.
The aggression would have occurred on Thursday, July 20, the day when the neighbors left their houses alerted when they heard the cries for help of the assaulted woman, but the subject fled. However, days later he appeared and was apprehended, as well as brought before the judge, who decided to send him to jail.
