The Subcommittee on Constitutional Accusations of Congress filed the constitutional complaint against the former comptroller Edgar Alarcon and former congressmen Javier Velásquez Quesquén and Marvin Palma for the Los Temerarios del Crimen case.
The complaint had been made by the National Prosecutor, Zoraida Avalosagainst Velásquez Quesquén and Palma Mendoza for the crime of aggravated influence peddling, typified in article 440 of the Penal Code.
In addition, the accusation included Alarcón Tejada for the alleged commission of the crime of own passive bribery, typified in article 393 of the aforementioned code.
The decision was adopted by 11 votes in favor and two votes against, after the support of the report of the delegated congresswoman Martha Moyano (Popular Force).
“It has been concluded that the crimes charged to the defendants are not proven, so it is recommended that this constitutional complaint be filed”he indicated.
According to the complaint of the Public Ministry, Alarcón would have accepted or received an economic benefit of S / 30,000 from the former mayor of Chiclayo David Cornejo Chinguel in exchange for lifting the freezing of municipal accounts, despite the fact that this did not correspond.

The former legislators would have intervened in this act Javier Velasquez and Marvin Palmaincurring in alleged influence peddling, according to the constitutional complaint of the Attorney General’s Office.
Finally, the subcommittee agreed, by majority, to reschedule the hearing of the constitutional complaint filed by former congressman Omar Chehade against former Minister of Health Víctor Zamora.
The accusation is for the presumed constitutional infraction of article 126 of the Constitution; and for the probable commission of the crimes of propagation of dangerous or contagious disease, abuse of authority illegally conditioning the delivery of goods and services, omission, refusal or delay of functional acts, incompatible negotiation or improper use of the position, and falsification of documents, typified in articles 289, 376-A, 377, 399 and 427 of the Penal Code, to the detriment of the State.
