Officials of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) seized this Sunday 34 panela-type marijuana wrappers in the Las Cumaraguas sector, in Falcón state.
Through your account at Twitter social network, the Operational Strategic Commander (CEOFANB), Domingo Hernández Lárez indicated that the panelas were abandoned on the coast and have an approximate weight of 39,628 kilograms.
For this reason, he stressed Venezuela’s fight to deal with drug trafficking, which is why the FANB remains deployed throughout the border area.
“Venezuela will not be a platform for drug trafficking, FANB remains deployed in patrol work along all the coasts of the Homeland and border limits, always alert and vigilant to guarantee territorial integrity and national sovereignty. Said procedure, as established in our laws, was placed at the order of the Public Ministry, ”he wrote on the social network.
Recently, the sector vice president for Citizen Security and Peace, Remigio Ceballos Ichaso, reported that from the month of January to Junea total of 24 tons of drugs were seized.
The operations have been carried out among all the State security agencies and the FANB.
Between the month of January and June, 6.82% more seizures of these substances have been seized compared to 2022.
