Yesterday, the National Police graduated 113 new traffic agents, trained in the Special Operations Camp, located in the Manoguayabo sector, West Santo Domingo, who will be attached to the General Directorate of Traffic Safety and Land Transportation (Digesett).
These new Digesett agents will be integrated into the work of making the different streets, avenues and highways of the country viable, in order to continue regulating traffic at the national level.
The agents were trained on the Organic Law of the National Police 590-16, Law 63-17, Mobility, Land Transportation, Traffic and Road Safety of the Dominican Republic, Human Dignity, Human Rights, Conflict Management and Citizen Services .
They also received instruction on Personal Defense, Road Education, Traffic Operations, Police Ethics, among others.
Merit Award
The merits were obtained by private Mario Abraham de la Cruz Rodríguez, for knowledge and discipline; Raymer Santana Pérez, police spirit, and Ezequiel Rodríguez Guzmán, to the concept of duty.
The director general of the National Police, Major General Eduardo Alberto Then, the deputy director general Orison Olivense Minaya, the director general of the Digesett, Brigadier General Ramón Antonio Guzmán Peralta, the person in charge of the School of Traffic and Land Transportation Training of the Digesett, Lieutenant Colonel Manuel de Jesús Valenzuela Díaz, among others.
The members of the Digesett have the power to supervise and control the mobility of people and goods, land transport of passengers and cargo, traffic and road safety.
