In an interview with Radio Panama, the winner of the primaries and Presidential Candidate of the Cambio Democrático party, Rómulo Roux, referred to what happened in this electoral exercise and believes that many people who had commitments to deputy Ábrego would join her presidential project towards the May 2024 elections.
“We are going to seek a great alliance, a great movement whose main objective is to dismantle the corrupt clientelist political system that is the cause of the problems the country is experiencing,” Roux stressed.
On whether there is the possibility of letting deputy Ábrego run for another political party, with the prior authorization of the CD Board of Directors, Roux said: “I don’t really see it, because I think she was very clear about the consequences of running and I do not see the Board of Directors of the party with the intention of allowing that ».
