Bridging the gap (based on the fact that beef exports are the main generator of foreign currency income for the country and with a huge distance in relation to what fish contributes: in 2022 US$ 2,557 million versus US$ 133 million ), this year the average value of a ton of exported fish advances while that of beef recedes, where a drop of 13.8% was seen (US$ 5,116 at this point in 2022 against current US$ 4,409 , always per ton).

Therefore, the data for 2023 are the best in average value and those for 2022 are the best considering the total amount obtained and volume shipped, considering the last eight years.
