The Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Business and International Cooperation of the Republic of Suriname, Albert Ramdin, arrived this Sunday in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela on a working visit to advance bilateral cooperation relations in various areas of strategic interest.
The reception of the Surinamese Foreign Minister, at the Simón Bolívar de Maiquetía International Airport, in La Guaira, was in charge of the Vice Minister for the Caribbean of the Ministry of Popular Power for Foreign Relations, Raúl Li Causi, accompanied by a delegation from the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, review the press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During his stay in Caracas, the diplomat will meet with high-ranking Venezuelan authorities to strengthen ties of cooperation and mutual support, after 47 years of establishing diplomatic relations between the two nations.
Foreign Minister Ramdin has held conversations with officials of the Bolivarian Government in different multilateral spaces, expressing his government’s interest in activating the Suriname-Venezuela High-Level Mixed Commission.
With this visit, it is planned to promote binational cooperation in agricultural, fishing and air interconnectivity, as well as the incorporation of Suriname in the new distribution scheme for hydrocarbon supplies from Venezuela.
