Minsa receives 21,000 doses of the bivlente vaccine against COVID-19

The Ministry of Health (Minsa) through
of the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI) reports the arrival of 21,000 doses of bivalent vaccines, which will reinforce the National Vaccination Program for the 12-year-old population and 18,000 doses
perdriatica, according to Itzel S. de Hewitt, national coordinator of the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI).

Hewitt indicated that the entire offer of the National Vaccination Plan is being offered to the population in all the facilities of the Ministry of Health and the Social Security Fund from Monday to Friday in extended hours and on weekends in the Shopping Centers and in all Health Regions nationwide.

“The vaccine can never cause a cold because what is introduced into the body is an attenuating virus, it is not alive, all the deaths are from unvaccinated people, it is not the virus that is stronger, but it is
the population that has applied the vaccine” emphasized Hewitt.

The MINSA reiterates to the population that due to the rainy season, respiratory viruses are on the prowl and it is recommended that the population go to the health centers, subcenters, and police centers in
the whole country. Vaccines save lives and are free.
