The mortality rate in people not vaccinated against covid-19 was 66.39 cases per 100,000 inhabitantsaccording to the vaccination status of January reported by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP).
These figures show strong differences with respect to people who did receive the vaccine. Those who received only two doses had a mortality rate of 26.40 cases per 100 thousand people.
If those who received the first two doses plus the booster are taken as a reference, the rate drops to 4.14 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
The data show that the mortality rate in non-inoculated patients was 16 times higher than in those who received the three doses.
Until this Friday, Uruguay has 76.2% of its population vaccinated with two doses of the anticovid vaccine; 83.2% have a dose. On the other hand, 1,887,037 people have the booster dose.
