More than 3 thousand expired and damaged products were confiscated in Herrera

Through verifications carried out in the province of Herrera, the Regional Administration of the Authority for the Protection of Consumers and Defense of Competition (Acodeco) has detected 3,410 expired products and 11 damaged ones, for sale in different commercial premises, in the first half of this year. anus.

In this way, during this morning, 941 expired products and 3 damaged products were destroyed in the Chitré landfill, corresponding to seizures in June of this year, in the districts of Chitré, Los Pozos and Santa María.

Among the products seized and destroyed were: sausages, beans, canned goods, rice, soup packets, sodas, yogurt, juices, cookies, bread-cake packages, snacks, detergents, diaper packages, deodorants, shampoos, hair dyes , liquids for shoes, paint cans, among others.

It should be noted that this is the fourth destruction of products carried out in this province this year. In addition, in June 4 fines were imposed with a total amount of B/,1,250.00 for non-compliance with price control (they sold at prices higher than those established).

The Acodeco in the province of Herrera continues with the tireless work of verifying economic agents, to guarantee that they respect the rights of consumers; also, offer a prompt response and solution to consumer complaints, said Elisa Carrasco, regional administrator.
