Araúz: “Let’s not start disqualifying students because failing an exam does not indicate anything at a conjunctural moment”

Angel Valdes | July 6, 2023

The president of the National Bar Association, Juan Carlos Araúz, referred to the bar exam carried out by law students where only 9 out of 150 managed to pass said test, which has caused surprise in society and within the bar association itself.

«What the National Bar Association does want to ask everyone is that we do not start to disqualify any of the pieces of this puzzle, we do not have to disqualify students because failing an exam does not indicate anything at a conjunctural moment since the law I guarantee that the exam can be repeated and the second thing is that we cannot disqualify the one who applies for the exam, that is, the Superior Institute of the Judiciary or the Fourth Chamber at the time that the law was raised are the entities with the highest institutional strengths to precisely guarantee transparency and guarantee the effectiveness of this mechanism”, explained Araúz
