Open applications for rectors of the CNE until July 15

The president of the Electoral Nominations Committee 2023deputy Giusseppe Alessandrello, announced on Tuesday the call for applications to hold the positions of rectors of the National Electoral Council (CNE), which will end on July 15.

Alessandrello indicated that the receipts have already been published on social networks, as well as in two national newspapers and in the Official Gazette.

He stated that people who meet the requirements and who were nominated by civil society, universities and the Moral Power of the Republic will be taken into account, as established in the Constitution.

“This process will take place until Saturday, July 15,” Alessandrello said.

Similarly, he indicated that the doors of the National Assembly (AN) will be open from 10:00 in the morning until three in the afternoon, including Saturday and Sunday.

In a press conference, the president of the Committee also announced that this Tuesday they held a meeting to approve the respective regulations for the operation of the process.

For his part, Deputy José Gregorio Correa indicated that this process seeks to rescue dialogue among all Venezuelans.

Requirements for nominations for rectors of the CNE

These are the requirements that must be met to apply for the position of rector of the CNE, as established by the Organic Law of Electoral Power for Electoral Rectors:

1.- Be Venezuelans or Venezuelans, over thirty (30) years of age and be in full enjoyment of their civil and political rights.

In the case of being Venezuelans or Venezuelans by naturalization, at least fifteen (15) years must have elapsed since obtaining nationality.

2.- Have obtained a university degree; have at least ten (10) years of graduation and have been in professional practice or activity during the same period.

Preferably, have experience or postgraduate studies in the electoral area or in related subjects.

3.- Not being involved or involved in any of the grounds for removal indicated in the Organic Law of Electoral Power.

4.- Not be linked or linked to organizations for political purposes.

5.- Not having been criminally convicted or sentenced with a definitive sentence for the commission of intentional crimes in the last twenty (20) years.

6.- Not be related to the third degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity with the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela or with the holders of the applicant entities.

Similarly, the applicants must present – in addition to a letter addressed to the committee – the following documents:

a) Application of the citizen, by the applicant entity.

b) Acceptance of the Application, by the applicant.

c) Curriculum with a true copy of the corresponding credentials and supports.

d) Authorization to review and verify the documents presented.

e) Color enlarged copy of the identity card on letter size paper without cropping.

f) Two (02) recent passport size front photos.
