Panamanian cycling will face another high-level day such as the XXIV Central American and Caribbean Games that take place in El Salvador and in which they will see action on July 5 and 7, 2023.
In the Elite male branch, the double Central American medalist Christofer Jurado from Chorrera, Franklin Archibold and Alex Strah from Chiricos, as well as the 2023 national road champion, Randish Abdul Lorenzo from Colón, will compete.
Jurado and Archibold will be disputing this Wednesday, July 5, the individual time trial that will consist of 41.4 kilometers taking place at the Ichanmichen Water Park, Zacatecoluca in the department of La Paz.
The four Panamanian male cyclists will set out on the Salvadoran roads on July 7 to face the route or long-distance test that will have 160 kilometers, divided into 17 laps around a circuit that will have the Bicentennial Park, in La Libertad, as its meeting point.
The women will also defend the Panamanian tricolor uniform tooth and nail, with Wendy Ducreux (2023 national road champion) and Anibel Prieto (2023 national champion against the clock).
On the 5th of this month Ducreux and Prieto, both from the Elite category, will move their cranks to cover the 21 kilometers of the day against the clock that also has as its main point the Ichanmichen Water Park, Zacatecoluca department of La Paz, starting at 8 :00 in the morning.
Two days later, the two Panamanians return to the pavement, but for the road race that will cost 100 kilometers, which will be divided into 11 laps on a circuit of 9,800 meters.
After the Central American Road Championship, the Pan American Championship and the Nationals, the Creole riders will now seek to be protagonists in this event that brings together the best of Central America and the Caribbean.
