FANB neutralizes in Zulia the clandestine aircraft number 35 of 2023

This Saturday, aerial means of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, FANB, disabled near the Encontrados sector in the state Zulia a clandestine aircraft that was detected by radar, reported the Operational Strategic Commander of the FANB (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez.

Through his Twitter account, Hernández Lárez pointed out that it is aircraft number 35 disabled by the FANB when entering the country unauthorizedly, and number 358 since 2012.

In this regard, it reported that the plane declared hostile was a twin-engine Super King type, white with a blue stripe and no visible license plate, which was immobilized by the FANB air resources, once the corresponding procedure had been completed.

“At 18:55 HLV, the FANB air resources, once the corresponding procedure was completed, carried out the “IMMOBILIZATION” of the aircraft declared Hostile at the aforementioned coordinates, being a white twin-engine Super King aircraft with a blue stripe. without visible license plate, making this disablement the number 35 of the year 2023 and 358 since 2012 ”, he published.

The aircraft was detected by radar

Hernández Lárez explained that the detection of the clandestine aircraft by radar coincided with a sighting report from the ground patrol URRA, flying over low-level Zulia state.

“FANB operationalizes the Defense Plan of the Territorial Defense System of the @REDI_OCC and @venezuelaazul10 Regions, due to detection on vector radars entering national territory, coinciding with a sighting report by the URRA ground patrol, flying over at low level near the sector Found in Zulia state, detailed the head of Ceofanb.

He also explained that, once the threat was evaluated, the air reaction means were ordered to take off to carry out a reconnaissance and interdiction mission to the south of Lake Maracaibo, locating the aircraft on an unauthorized improvised clandestine ground runway, in the Jesús María Semprún municipality of Zulia state

The aircraft was disabled after being declared “HOSTILE”, in accordance with the provisions of Article “3” of the Control Law for the Integral Defense of the Airspace of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, part 1, because it was presumed that it was being used by groups that generate violence linked to the cross-border crime of drug trafficking, transfer of irregular elements and weapons.

“Venezuela is a territory of Peace, sovereign, free and independent. FANB will guarantee sovereignty and territorial integrity at all costs”, added the Operational Strategic Commander of the FANB.
