Venezuela calls for guaranteeing progressive and revolutionary governments in the region to consolidate the integration of Latin America and the Caribbean, ratified the vice president of productive economy of the United Socialist Party (PSUV), Jesús Faría, at the Sao Paulo forum.
During the seminar “Latin American and Caribbean regional integration and the challenges of leftist and progressive governments”, Faría stressed that “if we do not guarantee progressive, revolutionary governments in our countries, “we will not have the integration that we are dreaming of. ”.
He explained that around the subject there are two fundamental ideas: “The need to consolidate revolutionary governments so that the integration project is maintained and the other is to stimulate this integration effort with all the battle that is waging at a global level, the creation of a new world order, allied with Russia and China”.
It should be noted that this day is part of the activities that are carried out in Brasilia, Brazil, as part of the Sao Paulo Forum, where representatives and delegations of various left-wing parties from the five continents participate.
Political integration is needed
For Faría, it is imperative to achieve regional integration with the purpose of consolidating independence, but he considers that “greater political will of the peoples and governments” is needed.
In this sense, he stressed that “in Venezuela, Commander Hugo Chávez raised regional integration in the Homeland program, as one of the fundamental lines of the Bolivarian Revolution.”
“Commander Chávez, promoted Petrocaribe, put the energy of our country at the service of the development of small nations that have needs,” said Faría.
He stressed that these actions demonstrated the prevalence of the political will to do so.
On the other hand, he indicated that in counterpart “the right has its political projects in accordance with the subordination to North American imperialism.”

After inaugurating the Sao Paulo Forum, the president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, called for living democratically in diversity, to confront the fascist extreme right that grew again throughout the world, reported the Prensa Latina note.
The founder of the Workers’ Party pointed out that from the left it is necessary to rediscuss his speech and pointed out that often the right has it easier with “a fascist speech.”
