The search for fishermen from Choroní continues more than a week after his disappearance

On Friday, June 16, three fishermen from Choroní set out to sea to sell fish and were due to return the next day. Since then, their colleagues and the authorities have been looking for them.


The Minister of the Interior and Justice, A/J Remigio Ceballos, reported through his account on Twitter This Sunday, June 25, they expanded the search range of the three fishermen lost since Friday the 16th, when they set sail from Choroní on the boat “La Llovizna” to sell a cargo offshore.

Ceballos asserted that they are not going to stop the search and that they will seek to provide an answer to the relatives of the three fishermen who are waiting in that town in the state of Aragua for the return of their loved ones.

Also, the Navy Coast Guard Command indicated that they continue to search for the fishermen, whose boat has been in a “delayed” state since June 17. He indicated that this Sunday a helicopter took off from the Gulf of Venezuela to continue the work to find “La Llovizna.”

The crew members identified as José Rafael Sosa, Eduar Chávez Rebolledo and Edwin Chávez Rebolledo, left last morning friday june 16 aboard the vessel La Llovizna, identified with the acronym ADKNO184, from Choroní, in the Girardot municipality of Aragua state.

The report of his disappearance was made by another fisherman identified as Israel Sosa, who reported that the boat had to return to the port at dawn on June 17 to deliver the cargo, however his return was not reported, so that a group of fishermen went out to look for them.

For him June 20th, INEA joined the search for the missing boatmen.

For him day 22the fishermen in Choroní had asked the authorities to continue searching despite the ban on setting sail decreed by the National Institute of Aquatic Spaces (INEA) due to the arrival of storm Bret.

Carlos Alberto Sosa, brother of one of those who disappeared on the boat “La Llovizna”, told Crónica Uno that they should focus on what the authorities say, but he did ask that they give them security to continue with the operations.
